Alzheimer Safety

This presentation focuses on wandering and "walkaway" behaviors of the Alzheimer's patient and is designed for primary caregivers, family and friends.

MARK9 presenters describe various types of wandering behavior and how to do immediate hasty searches in likely hot spots to find an Alzheimer's patient who has strayed.

The presentation also describes more advanced search techniques for the patient who has been missing for a longer period of time and may have wandered further or may have boarded a bus or other form of transportation.

Alzheimer's Safety can be tailored for young family members to compare their own household habits to the safety needs of the Alzheimer's patient also living there.

Appropriate age for presentation: 12+.
